What is Josephine Namakumbi’s next destination after NBS Layoff

A famous saying goes, “growth is not a destination, but a direction.”

In that same spirit, Josephine Namakumbi’s career is set to take a transformative turn following reports of her departure from NBS TV amidst recent layoffs.

Namakumbi joined Next Media in 2019, quickly becoming a household name as a news anchor and reporter.

Known for her intelligent and calm personality, she anchored Amasengejje with a trademark smile and a soothing voice that resonated with viewers across the country and beyond.

However, as news of her exit circulates, the industry is left with one major question, What is her next destination?

Multiple sources have informed Shalom Insights that Namakumbi is set to join Hope Channel Uganda, a Seventh-day Adventist television station.

This move follows a leadership vacancy at the station; after Isaac Kugonza was elected Communication Director at the Uganda Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists, the role of Manager at Hope Channel Uganda required a capable successor.

If these reports are confirmed, Namakumbi’s arrival will mark a pivotal chapter for Hope Channel Uganda.

Her extensive experience and creative flair could be the catalyst the station needs as it strives to find its footing and broaden its appeal to a more diverse audience.
