NAMASUBA ADVENTIST CHURCH: A call to raise 300 million for the slab

“In reviewing our past history, having traveled over every step of advance to our present standing, I can say, Praise God! As I see what the Lord has wrought, I am filled with astonishment and with confidence in Christ as leader. We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us and His teaching in our past history.” — Life Sketches of Ellen G. White, p. 196.

These words of hope serve as the foundation for the journey of Namasuba Seventh-day Adventist Church. What started as a vision has become a living testimony of faith, resilience, and divine guidance.

A Journey of faith and order

The story of our expansion began with a providential call from Pr. Wilson Sekago, now the NBF President in 2010. By 2016, the first physical signs of this vision took shape as the ground was broken and the foundation began to emerge.

While we initially hoped our status as a church might grant us a green light through certain bureaucratic hurdles, we were instead called to walk the path of patience. The government required us to follow every regulation to the letter.

Today, we see this as a blessing; by going through the process to the dot, we secured an approved plan that has safely guided every brick and pillar laid to date.

Our construction is not just about the present but the future. According to the architectural plans, the foundation we have laid is robust enough to support more than two floors above the ground floor.

To ensure transparency and stewardship, a Bill of Quantities (BOQ) was established early on to guide all procurement. While the volatile waves of inflation have posed a challenge to our budget, the steady support of church members, friends, and well-wishers has kept the project moving forward.

The current milestone

We have reached a critical juncture in our construction journey. We are currently at the slab stage, a vital step that requires a sum of 300 million Shillings. This slab will pave the way for the next phase: one additional floor followed by roofing.

An Invitation to partner with God

To meet this goal, Namasuba SDA Church has organized a special Development Sabbath slated for March 14, 2026. This day is dedicated to soliciting the funds needed to cast the slab and move our sanctuary closer to completion.

  • Speaker: Elder Medson Mugerwa Bikongolo

A call to action

As Stephen Kabalu, a dedicated member of our congregation, reminds us that this journey has been built by the hands of many. We are calling upon the public, our friends in the faith, and all well-wishers to once again put a hand onto this growing infrastructure.

Your contribution is more than a donation; it is an investment in a house of prayer that will serve generations to come. Let us not forget how the Lord has led us in the past and let us move into the future with confidence.

Join us this Sabbath, March 14 and let us build for the glory of God.
