Following Jehovah Shalom Acapella’s historic representation of Africa on the global stage during the just-concluded General Conference, the award-winning vocal group has announced a special Thanksgiving Sabbath.
The event will take place on Saturday, January 31 at Kikajjo SDA Church, the ministry’s home base, marking a significant milestone in their spiritual and musical journey.
The event serves as a formal act of gratitude following the group’s return from the General Conference of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Representing Uganda, East Africa, and the entire continent, the group’s participation at the international gathering was a landmark moment for local gospel ministry.
The upcoming Sabbath promises a soul-soothing musical experience, featuring a lineup of some of the fellow ministers such as The Herald’s Choir and Golden Gate Academy.

The Mission: Completing the Sanctuary
While the day is a celebration of past achievements, its primary focus is local impact. The centrepiece of the program is a Special Thanksgiving offering, which has been designated as the highlight of the day.
Proceeds from this collection will be dedicated exclusively to the completion of the Kikajjo SDA Church construction project. Organisers emphasise that while the ministry has reached global heights, they remain interested in strengthening the foundation of their home church.
