While the clinical tents have been folded, the spiritual atmosphere at Kendu Adventist Hospital remains forever changed.
Following the ‘The King Is Coming; Arise’ series, 370 individuals, including medical students and staff have transitioned from the baptismal waters into a dedicated new journey of discipleship.
A sacred transformation of space
For two weeks, the usually clinical atmosphere of the hospital grounds was replaced by the vibrant sounds of the Najjanankumbi Church Choir and the powerful preaching of It Is Written President John Bradshaw and Kendu Hospital CEO Philip Gai
The transformation culminated in 370 individuals, including medical students, hospital staff, and local residents, descending into the baptismal waters to embrace a new life in Christ.

From harvest to healing
With the tents now folded, the mission is clear, ensuring these 370 souls are rooted in their new faith. The West Kenya Union Conference has transitioned into a nurture phase, recognising that while the hospital heals the body, the church must now nourish these new spirits.
Mentorship: Each of the 370 new members is being integrated into local discipleship circles to study the pillars of the Adventist faith.
Student Impact: A significant portion of the baptised are students from the Kendu Adventist School of Medical Sciences, who are now being equipped to serve as medical missionaries within the wards.
Community Integration: Church elders are conducting home visits to support those who stood as the first in their families to join the faith.

A lasting legacy
The success of the event on the hospital grounds has proven the effectiveness of healing ministry evangelism.
By combining physical healthcare with the prophetic messages of Hope Channel and AWR, the series reached deep into the hearts of the 370 who came forward.
As the hospital returns to its daily medical routines, it does so with 370 living testimonies walking its halls, reminders that on these grounds, lives were not just saved by medicine, but transformed by grace.
